I enjoy spending lots of time outdoors with the children. There is so much to be learned from nature and the fresh air and exercise is beneficial to all of us.

I belong to a federal food program and serve healthy meals and snacks. Most food is home made (including chicken nuggets). Processed food, food with nitrates, fried or prefried foods as well as sugary food is limited. Water is offered often.

Hi, I’m Linda Matson. I have been a family childcare provider since 1978. While doing childcare I went to school at night to receive my Minnesota teaching licenses for birth to third grade, parent and family. I was chosen as provider of the year in Anoka County in 1990, 1998 and 2009. My school agers go to Morris Bye. During the school year I have a preschool curriculum which includes circle time with songs, games and more, crafts, a letter each week and different topics and story time with help of the children choosing the books that are provided. I also have a music teacher come in to teach the children. The children have time for free play to develop their social skills. I also teach the children to be respectful to each other and use their manners with a loving environment. We get outside everyday weather permitting. I have a large playground area and in the winter we slid down our little hill. In the summer time we take many field trips in my childcare bus, which includes car sets and bus harness for the safety of the children. I want the parents to be as much a part of the children’s day as possible so I journal on the children and take lots of pictures. I not only want to prepare the children in my care to be successful in their lives I also want to build fun memories for them. Because the parents and I are in partnership raising the children I believe in open communication. I am on the food program and serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. My hours are 6:30AM to 5:00PM.

I have been a licensed provider for 8 years. I am on the Providers Choice food program and have had all the training required including CPR and First Aid. I have GREAT references. My daycare is located in Oak Grove by Co Rd 7 and 22, neighborhood behind park. St.Francis Elementary. Bussing for LifeLong Learning Center is available for preschoolers. All kids are picked up at the end of my driveway. I live on a quiet street with a cul-de-sac. Vicki's Daycare enjoys the outdoors by riding bikes, going on walks, water days, sledding on the hill next to my house, going to the park and many other activities. We go on field trips to the Children's Museum, Splash park, Eagles Nest, Maple Maze, Adventure Park, Libraries, Pump it Up, Twin Lakes Beach and Elm Creek beach & park. During the summer months the children still work in their educational workbooks and read almost every day. Please e-mail me with the days and hours needed along with the ages of your children. I am willing to hold spots for the fall or for infants. Due to family allergies I am unable to care for children with smokers or cats at home.

I have many outdoor toys to ride and sand box and swingset that we play on daily (weather permitting) . I sleep one child to a bedroom and older kids have quiet time and watch a movie. I work on social, motor skills and whatever you would like help on.
