Licensed Child Care Providers of Anoka County (L.C.C.P.A.C.) is a non-profit (501.3C) Association that serves as a support group for licensed family child care providers. This non-profit Association serves Anoka County as well as the surrounding areas. It is run solely by volunteers. L.C.C.P.A.C. has been supporting providers since 1972 that’s 40 Years!
L.C.C.P.A.C. is constantly growing and changing. There are several projects lining up every year. Licensed family child care providers join with many new ideas and the Association is ever-evolving to reflect the needs of the providers. The mission statement of LCCPAC states:
“To provide quality training to licensed family child care providers at affordable rates and serve as a resource for mentoring, community awareness, and professionalism.” The Association continues to seek to grow with the profession as it becomes increasing recognized as an important early childhood experience for many children.
The goals of LCCPAC are:
1) To unite licensed family child care providers for greater recognition by the Anoka County Human Services Department.
2) To keep the public informed of LCCPAC.
3) To initiate training courses for licensed family child care providers.
4) To assist the planning of quality licensed family child care.
5) To assist in obtaining any Federal, State, or private funds to be used in licensed child care homes.
6) To review county and state standards applying to licensed family child care homes and introduce changes we feel necessary on a county and/or state level.
7) To promote, encourage and support neighborhood areas and individual licensed family child care providers.
8) To work with community organizations.
